A pregnant model who was found dead inside a downtown Los Angeles apartment last month had been bound, beaten and wedged inside her own refrigerator, according to the autopsy report obtained by KTLA on Friday.The body of Maleesa Mooney, 31, was discovered on Sept. 12 after police conducted a welfare check at her apartment on South Figueroa Street.She had suffered blunt force trauma to her head, torso and arms, the medical examiner’s report states, indicating the cause of death was “homicidal violence.”Mooney was last seen alive on surveillance video at her apartment complex on Sept. 6. California is under attack.Agriculture officials sounded the alarm on Friday after two Queensland fruit flies were found in Ventura County, marking at least the third discovery of invasive and destructive fruit flies in the Los Angeles area in recent months.A 76 square mile area was placed under quarantine on Oct. 23 after the Queensland flies were found in a residential area of Thousand Oaks, according to the California Department of Food and Agriculture. One Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near Sage DriveBAKERSFIELD, CA (October 27, 2023) – Wednesday evening, a two-car accident occurred on Wilson Road, resulting in the loss of one victim’s life. The incident took place around 5:13 p.m. in the 6400 block of Wilson Road, near Sage Drive.As of now, the circumstances leading to the collision remain unclear. However, initial reports indicate that emergency responders discovered one of the drivers involved in the accident suffering from severe injuries. Due to the extent of their condition, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.The second driver remained present and fully cooperated with the ongoing investigation. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Rosamunde Sausage Grill, a long-running San Francisco institution that sold sausage and beer in various locations, will be closing next month. In a post on Instagram, the sausage shop announced that it would be closing its location at Mission and 24th streets on Nov. 21."Although we are sad to say goodbye to the neighborhood, we feel fortunate to have served such a wide and diverse community," the restaurant said on Instagram.
