Outbound traffic was halted Saturday on the Whitehurst Freeway in D.C. for emergency repairs after pieces of concrete fell onto the roadway.As a result, DDOT temporarily closed the westbound lanes of the freeway between 27th Street NW and M Street NW around 4 p.m. on Saturday.Whitehurst Freeway outbound remains closed between 27th and M Streets. (AP) — Tampa Bay captain Steven Stamkos left in the first period Saturday night against the Chicago Blackhawks because of a left leg injury.Stamkos, got tangled up with Chicago forward Joey Anderson in his own zone with less than three minutes remaining in the opening period. The two fell to the ice; Stamkos got up and skated off the ice holding his lower left leg.The 33-year-old forward is second on the Lightning with 27 goals and third with 66 points.Stamkos, the No. 1 pick in the 2008 NHL draft, has played his entire NHL career with the Lightning. More than 600 women participated in the annual event that provides fitness classes, health screenings, interactive panels and more.Andrews shared her story, including her battle with cervical cancer. DENVER (KDVR) — A cold front is crossing through the state which means cooler temperatures for the weekend with some possible rain for Denver's weather and snow for the mountains. In the Colorado mountains, it will be snowing throughout the weekend and heavy at times. A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a deadly stabbing in Blackstone on Saturday, officials said. Officers responding to a reported assault on Blackstone Street around 11:15 a.m. found a 42-year-old man who had been stabbed, according to the Worcester District Attorney’s Office.He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.An investigation led to the arrest of a 32-year-old man, whose name has not been released, on charges of murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury. The suspect is expected to be arraigned in Uxbridge District Court on Monday.
